The PMA follows a rigorous, multi-phase selection process to ensure fairness and transparency:
Nomination: An open, voluntary system where eligible broadcasters (aged 18–35) submit entries via an online form.
Longlisting (Phase I): A compliance screening to ensure all entries meet eligibility and documentation requirements.

Shortlisting (Phase II): A technical evaluation by subject-matter experts to limit each category to a maximum of five nominees.
Presenter of the Year: The flagship award is determined by a simple majority vote of the entire jury.
